A Roller, A Sweet Spud, A Sprinkler

Have I introduced you to Mr. Foam Roller? No, well here is one of my new best friends. Not only does it help my IT Band issues but it also gives a great massage. And since I'm in charge on the movements I can always make sure it gets to the right spot.

After loving on my the roller a little bit, we went for a run. It was not the best run. I just couldn't get in sync with my steps, my thoughts and my breathing. There are runs where everything happens perfect (like last Saturday night but today was NOT one of those days. We were able to run 4.0 and walk 0.5. I am trying to keep the mileage up. We have plans of a 10K in March!

The rest of the day included painting, cleaning, laundry, school work and baking! I made Harvest Garden Bread from Cooking Light. Ashlee of A Year in the Kitchen linked it on her blog.

Dinner was a hit tonight! The sweet potatoes and apples were delish!

Before . After

And the chicken sandwich (with cheese, turkey bacon, and BBQ sauce) hit the spot. My amount of protein has been lighter lately (not that I'm complaining -- I chose the EATS) but this really hit the spot!

Now I'm enjoy the show my pup is putting on. She is battling one of her enemies -- the sprinkler. So funny!

Have a great evening!

Question: What was your favorite part of your day? Mine were the baking and cooking. The bread and sweet spuds were both really good. I'm proud of myself when I make something good!

My favorite part of the day was cooking too. I cooked for my whole boyfriend's family yesterday for the first time. I love making new recipes, I swear I spend half my time in the kitchen!

you're so sweet :) i'm glad you can find stuff you like on my food blog! and i'm glad you like to do meal planning now, it makes life so much easier than always having to think about what you're going to have for dinner and run to the store a few times each week!
